A week before Christmas, Lorrie and Marc said their vows in a castle, whilst surrounded by Christmas trees, candles and wonderful people – what a way to finish 2016! This wedding felt extra meaningful to shoot as Lorrie and Marc met me through their friends Vicki and Lee, whose wedding I photographed 3 years ago. Seeing them again, this time with their brand new baby Zac, was so special – seeing the continuation of the story that I’d documented years ago!
Marc and Lorrie put so much love and effort into their day, I could’ve spent forever photographing all the carefully thought-out details – Lorrie and her bridesmaids went on a workshop by Treasured Bouquets to create their own beautiful bouquets and flower arrangements. Marc designed the stationery which I completely fell in love with. Each table centrepiece had an item from their own home, along with an illustration by Marc to tell the story behind each thing, with flowers and succulents pouring out of each piece, each table was honestly a work of art. Not forgetting Lorrie’s Mum who knitted over 100 miniature stockings for everyone, oh and Lorrie made their own wedding cake! These guys proved you can really do anything with a marquee if you put your mind to it.
All of that, mixed with the most gorgeous winters sun – we had a pretty amazing day and I’m hoping to see these guys again soon!
